I currently work as Director of Research and Development at Greenway Research Lab in Burnsville, Minnesota.  Greenway is mainly a manufacturer of salon hair care products and I have worked there for eleven years. Previous positions in Minnesota have been at Tsumura International, Inc., Tiro Industries, Inc., and DowBrands (formerly LaMaur). My first position as a chemist was at Roffler Industries, Inc. in Pennsylvania (and yes the Penguins are again playing for the Stanley Cup).

My spare time seems to be mostly consumed by family activities with my son (10th grade) and soon to be teenage daughter (7th grade). I am a registered adult leader with the Boy Scouts of America; Troop 3370 sponsored by Pax Christi Church in Eden Prairie. My main hobby is growing orchids, both tropical and native Minnesotan, and learning as much as possible about them. I also like to bike, play basketball, racquetball, golf and disc golf, and fish.

My name is Kenneth Sahr Momoh and I am currently the treasurer for this year’s Twin Cities Chapter of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists (SCC).

I live in Saint Paul, Minnesota, and graduated from Hamline University, also in Saint Paul, in May 2001 with degrees in General and Organic Chemistry [both American Chemical Society (A.C.S.) Certified] and Biochemistry, and a minor in Mathematics.

I currently work as a Research Chemist for the Investigative Research Department of Research and Development at The Aveda Corporation in Blaine, Minnesota—a division of The Estee Lauder Companies.  I have worked at Aveda for almost seven years, and have participated in various projects involving organic chemical synthesis, formulation of products, raw material/ingredient investigation and analysis, investigations and applications of various technologies to the cosmetics industry, and the list goes on.  Amongst many of my tasks, I have and continue to work with the team in writing and publishing several papers for peer-reviewed scientific journals, cosmetics industry journals, patents and patent applications (domestically and abroad), books, and for presentation at both scientific and non-scientific conferences.

Some of my hobbies include working with computers, reading, listening to music, working out, fishing, playing in sports like basketball, tennis and table tennis, racquetball, soccer, and biking; and most importantly, spending time with my family and friends.
