As sunscreen products evolve to meet rising consumer expectations and even global compliance, the underlying formulation fundamentals remain the primary drivers of successful innovation. This presentation examines how core principles or sunscreen formulations still directly shape today's newest sunscreen products and trends. Through real-world formulation examples, we will explore how trends such as ultra-light textures, hybrid mineral–organic systems, sprayable and water-gel formats, and skincare-infused sunscreens are enabled, or even constrained, by foundational sunscreen science.
