Dr. Alejandra Camacho is a Business Development Manager for Croda Inc. She supports the North America team in identifying new business opportunities for the ample portfolio of botanical extracts and natural oils under the Crodarom brand. Before joining the commercial team, Alejandra worked in the claim substantiation laboratory deploying statistical analysis tools and overseeing the standardization of testing protocols across all claims laboratories. Prior to joining Croda, Alejandra was part of L’Oreal’s advanced research team where she developed in-situ microscopy experiments to advance the understanding of skin, hair and their interaction with some active ingredients. Previous to the personal care industry, Alejandra worked on applying electron microscopy to many different fields including microelectronic packaging, catalysis and archaeological pigments.

Alejandra holds a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. She has published over 30 articles in peer-reviewed journals and holds multiple patents in personal care and microelectronics. Dr. Camacho is an enthusiast bike rider, cook and student of yoga, Ayurveda and human and computer languages.
